This unit leads students through a crime scene investigation, using RFLP analysis of crime scene sample DNA. Students also have the opportunity to perform basic chemistry analyses as well. For more advanced students who have access to more equipment and reagents, a protocol for STR analysis using polyacrylamide gels is also provided.
